Good morning, Father!
Thank you so much for choosing me, Lord. Thank you for your constant care and pruning and nurturing in the “garden” that is me. I look forward to some day being able to be a gardener with you! Thank you for the awesome progress and peaceful day yesterday. It was good to see you taking care of my husband and keeping him safe and content on his birthday. Please help him complete this tricky job today, Lord. Give him wisdom and understanding to see what needs to be done. Please guide me in my own work, and thank you also for giving me a clear sight of what things I need to rotate throughout each day.
Haggai 2:4-9 ERV
Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:
According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
Lord, I just love it how you are always telling your people to be strong — and you always put in there “for I am with you” or something similar. You do not tell us to be strong for any reason that we can control, but rather because YOU are strong and YOU are with us. The focus is on you, and I think that is just awesome, Lord! Please help me to focus on you and your strength and not be afraid of anything that I think I cannot do. Because it just doesn’t matter what my assessment of my own strength or ability might be, but instead it is all about YOU. If you give me something to do, then I can always trust that your presence and your strength will be enough to make it happen — regardless of what I may think! Thank you, Awesome Lord! 😀
