Good morning, Father!
Thank you for all the changes that are happening and fixing to happen, even though some of them are quite scary. But that is okay, because it is forcing me out of my comfort zone. Growth always seems to be a good thing, even when it has a cost. Thank you, Lord, for caring for us, strengthening us, encouraging us. Please help us become more and more faithful and pleasing to you, and help us grow more FREE to enjoy your creation. Amen! 😀
2 Peter 2:20-22 ERV
People can be made free from the evil in the world. They can be made free by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But if they go back into those evil things and are controlled by them, then it is worse for them than it was before.
Yes, it would be better for them to have never known the right way. That would be better than to know the right way and then to turn away from the holy teaching that was given to them.
What they did is like these true sayings: “A dog vomits and goes back to what it threw up.” And, “After a pig is washed, it goes back and rolls in the mud again.”
Lord, I ask you to make us wiser than pigs and dogs. Help us not return to things YOU set us FREE from! Show us the way to walk according to your will and purpose, and show us the things to avoid that perhaps once seemed to be good things, but that actually held us back from the Life you set us free to enjoy! Father, I want to share your creation with my family again. I want to garden and explore new paths. I want to meet new people, even in new countries, and share the joy that you have set in my heart. I do not know what you have in store for us, but I do feel your Spirit moving, preparing us to move out of this place in YOUR perfect timing. Help me be brave, Lord God. Comfort me even when I leave my comfort zones. Show me how strong I can be in you. Thank you, Mighty Shepherd!
