Good morning, Lord.
Thank you for taking care of my husband and myself and my children. Please also take good care of my friend in New York. Show her your love and mercy and gentle care, Shepherd. Please show me what you want me to do today, which tasks are most important for now. Thank you for all the progress I’ve been making, and even the new little adventure task I got last night. That’s fun and creative, although I really don’t know what to DO with it yet. I guess for now it’s just a fun little sidenote to build over time. Thank you for being such an awesome Creator, and for enjoying creating along with your children, in their own little creations. I enjoy the closeness of making things with you, my Lord! 😀
Luke 12:6-9 ERV
“When birds are sold, five small birds cost only two pennies. But God does not forget any of them.
Yes, God even knows how many hairs you have on your head. Don’t be afraid. You are worth much more than many birds.
“I tell you, if you stand before others and are willing to say you believe in me, then I will say that you belong to me. I will say this in the presence of God’s angels.
But if you stand before others and say you do not believe in me, then I will say that you do not belong to me. I will say this in the presence of God’s angels.
I like this because there are so many little sparrows and wrens and other “LBJs — little brown jobs” around and about, and sometimes when I see them I think of how God knows each one. The Greek for “does not forget” above literally means “neglect” or “to lose out of mind”. Kinda the opposite of “out of sight, out of mind”. Yet we can rest assured by His Word, that we never, ever pass either out of God’s sight — OR out of His mind! He knows us so intimately that he knows how many hairs are on our heads. What an amazing truth! What a loving Shepherd!! Thank you for choosing us, Oh Lord!
