Good morning, Father.
Thank you for the fun time I had last night, making my crazy art — even though I stayed up later than I had planned. Thank you for the freedom I’m starting to feel more frequently, and thank you for the courage to create, to not try to conform to some ideal in my mind’s eye, but just to make what feels good and right to myself. Please help me to continue forwards, building with what you give me each day. Help me to be a better stewardess of all the gifts and resources you provide, my Lord!
1 Peter 4:7-11 ERV
The time is near when all things will end. So keep your minds clear, and control yourselves. This will help you in your prayers.
Most important of all, love each other deeply, because love makes you willing to forgive many sins.
Open your homes to each other and share your food without complaining.
God has shown you his grace in many different ways. So be good servants and use whatever gift he has given you in a way that will best serve each other.
If your gift is speaking, your words should be like words from God. If your gift is serving, you should serve with the strength that God gives. Then it is God who will be praised in everything through Jesus Christ. Power and glory belong to him forever and ever. Amen.
Lord, I desire to use all the awesome things you have given to me. I desire to be a faithful stewardess of your blessings. Please continue to teach me and guide me in the path you would have me to walk, accomplishing the tasks that you set before me, and letting the rest GO. Train my mind to have greater, more accurate discernment, able to more easily tell the difference between the things YOU desire for me, and the things that it is just ME who wants it. Align my heart with yours like a plumbline, Oh Lord! 😀
